Introduction to our 2021 season

We plan to put on our annual opera festival as usual in July/August. Booking is now open.

We will only enter into financial commitments with suppliers when we know definitely that the season can go ahead. Until then we will hold all ticket receipts on a dedicated bank account and not touch them, so that we can guarantee 100% reimbursement if we cannot go ahead.

At present it seems that we will have to observe social distancing in the theatre. Accordingly, we have blocked off every second row. In selecting your seats you are invited to leave an empty place between your group and any already booked seats.

Season ticket/reductions (not applicable to the Mozart/Pergolesi double bill)

An opera season ticket (3 operas) costs 180 € in the top category and 125 € in the second category.
Every order for 10 tickets in one category for a particular performance qualifies for the 11th ticket free of charge.

Returns

Tickets, once sold, are not exchangeable or refundable unless the performance concerned is cancelled.

We are not offering Refund Protect as in 2019/20, since any premium you pay would be lost if we cancel. We will consider offering people the chance to protect their bookings with Refund Protect when we confirm that the season will definitely go ahead.

Dinners or picnics may be cancelled without charge up to three working days before the performance in question.

Wheelchairs

We are able to accommodate up to 4 people (2 with social distancing) in wheelchairs in the theatre at Les Capucins. You can click on the relevant boxes in the plan above to reserve them – seat numbers WC1-4. The price is that of a ticket in second category.

Children

We do not admit children under the age of 12 years (except for the matinee on 26 July) unless we have given prior written agreement to do so. This is because there have been occasions in the past when young children have not been adequately controlled by the adults accompanying them and have spoiled others’ enjoyment of the performance.
